Wood Badge for the 21st CenturyWhat is Wood Badge for the 21st Century?
It’s a leadership course designed for all adult Scouters. It’s for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, and Venturing leaders as well as district and council leaders and professionals. It’s hoped that all leaders will take Wood Badge within two years of becoming a Scouter! This is the ultimate mountain top training experience for leaders in the Boy Scouts of America. This course is based on the most current leadership models used in corporate America and academic circles. This course will not only help you in your scouting position, but also at work, at home and in the community. Learn leadership skills taught with Scouting's Values in mind.

Who can attend?
You must have completed the basic training courses appropriate for your registered scouting position. This includes Fast Start, New Leaders Essentials, Leader specific Training for your registered position and Introduction to Outdoor Skills if required for your position. Course attendance is limited to 48 participants.

How long is the course?
The course runs for six full days over two weekends. You must attend all six days to complete the practical part of the training.

Scouting’s Future-
So, Scouters, don’t pass up this premiere training opportunity to get the leadership skills you will need to help our youth in the Boys Scouts of America. You will come away with an appreciation of Scouting’s heritage as well as a dream for the role you will play in Scouting's future. The benefits to you will be as great as the benefits to your Scouts.
