Your unit (pack, troop, crew, post) is invited to join thousands of other Scouts & Scouters in the annual Scouting for Food Drive.  Scouting for Food is BSA’s portion of “Operation Can Do,” the national program to collect food for the hungry.  The process is simple and outlined below.

By October 5, have a unit representative contact your District Scouting for Food Chair, listed to the right, to pre-register & select an area to canvass.
On Thursday, October 12, 7:00 p.m., at your Roundtable, have a unit representative pick up your Scouting For Food Bags.

Ottawa Walled Lake Church of Christ
Pon-Man Clarkston United Methodist Church
On Saturday, November 3, have your unit distribute Scouting For Food Bags in your assigned area.
On Saturday, November 10, have your unit collect bags of food in your assigned area (distributed to on November 3).
On Saturday, November 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. have your unit bring the bags of food to a district collection site or to a local Foodbank of your unit’s choice.

Ottawa Big Boy Restaurant at 14 Mile/ Orchard Lake

Big Boy Restaurant at I-75/Baldwin

Notify your District Scouting for Food Chairperson of the amount of food donated to local foodbanks.
Your unit may purchase Scouting For Food participation patches at a collection site on Saturday November 10, or at the Council office after November 14.  Patch price will be $1.50 each.
