EVOAEVOA is the short name for the Exploring Venturing Officer’s Association.

Currently EVOA Meetings are the first Sunday of each month at the Council service center at 7:00 p.m. We hope you can join us.

EVOA is a council level committee that is composed of, and operated by youth from Venturing crews and Exploring posts throughout the council, and is advised by several adults from the Exploring/Venturing committee. The EVOA promotes the development of leadership in Venturing and Exploring youth by offering the opportunity to plan and operate activities on the council level for Venturing and Exploring. Some of the activities that the EVOA has sponsored in the last few years have included the annual Road Rally, Wilderness First Aid training, the Fridge sled run, and the Sports All Nighter. In addition to these events, the EVOA has its own Awards dinner night where they present the youth and adult Venturing/Exploring Awards.

All Crews and Posts are urged to have representation at the monthly EVOA meetings. With representation at the meeting, Crews and Posts have a voice in deciding the what, when and where of the council-level Venturing and Exploring programs including training and camporees. The participating youth have a place also get a place to discuss what their units are doing, and to see what other units are doing.

The 2008 EVOA Award forms are now available and each unit is encouraged to make their nominations.
