Online Registration
Many events and training sessions in Clinton Valley Council have online registration available. To take advantage of the convenience of online registration you will need to have a User ID and Password from Doubleknot. Once you have your User ID and Password you will be able to not only register for these events, but also to subscribe to eLists.

Many people have heard the term "Doubleknot" and are not sure what it is. Doubleknot is a company in the San Francisco Bay area that provides a variety of online services primarily to non-profit organizations all over the country. The most visible applications that Clinton Valley Council uses in the Doubleknot system are for online registrations and eLists.

The eLists
In order to keep you up to date, the eLists will be your electronic finger on the pulse of both your district and the council. These eLists are similar to the email distribution lists that CVC has been using, but you will have the opportunity to sign up and opt out of these lists at will. When you sign up for an eList you will begin getting information of interest to your Pack, Troop, Crew, or Post leaders and parents. You can also sign up to get updates for other parts of the scouting program such as the District Committee and the Commissioner’s Staff. Just pick the areas that you are interested in and you will begin receiving email updates. You can sign up for as many eLists as you wish, and it does not matter how many eLists you sign up for, you should only get each email once. Once you sign up for an eList, you will be included each time an email update is sent out to that list. Depending on the time of year and what lists you signed up for, the emails are sent out about once a week.

Important Note:
Please add the email address noreply@doubleknot.com to your address book. This will allow the eLists to bypass many spam filters.

To Subscribe or Unsubscribe
You can subscribe to the eLists by clicking your district’s link to the right. If you have not done so already, create a profile in the Doubleknot system and log in. Once logged in, choose the E-Lists/Distribution Lists link in the middle of the My Information Page and make your selections by checking the eLists you wish to receive and then clicking the “Update Profile ” button.

To unsubscribe from an eList, just click the link that will be at the bottom of the eList. Then all you have to do is uncheck those lists from which you no longer wish to receive messages and click “Update Profile”. It’s just that simple!
