Eagle Scout MedalThe process of getting a Scout from Life to Eagle Scout can almost seem as difficult for the troop's Advancement Chair as it is for the Scout. As a starting point, use the resources here and be sure to stay in contact with your district's Boy Scout Advancement Committee.

Eagle Scout Orientation
The Council Advancement Committee has developed a presentation designed for units to give to their Star and Life Scouts. This presentation covers the Eagle Scout Rank requirements, the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project, the Eagle Scout Rank Application, CVC verification procedures for the Eagle Scout Rank Application, the Eagle Board of Review, and the Eagle Court of Honor. This is not a mandatory or required presentation and the purpose is to provide up-to-date and accurate information to units in the Clinton Valley Council and to help create uniformity throughout the council.
The presentation will be given by the Council Advancement Committee each March and November. Each District Boy Scout Advancement Committee has been encouraged to offer at least one presentation per year and will more than likely be available to present it on special request. A flyer will be created and posted on this website with the dates and locations.

Eagle Application Processing
The latest procedures for having the Eagle Scout Rank Application verified/Local Council certified in the Clinton Valley Council. There will be no exceptions to this process. Please contact your District Boy Scout Advancement Chair with any questions and review the current procedure.

National Eagle Scout Association (NESA)
NESA

As stated on the NESA website* , The National Eagle Scout Association exists " to identify Eagle Scouts and to provide a manpower resource for local councils. The primary objective of local chapters is to guide Eagle Scouts of all ages into service within the local council. All BSA councils have membership enrolled in the National Eagle Scout Association.

"NESA is young men searching for dynamic and challenging leadership roles. NESA is older Eagle Scouts who desire using their efforts and influence toward forming the kind of young men America needs for leadership. The objective of NESA is to serve—to serve Eagle Scouts and through them, the entire movement of Scouting."
